It depends on the dogs tbh, I have an entire bitch living with 3 neutered males and a neutered bitch and 2 of the males will try and mate with the female given the opportunity, the other neutered male has a sniff but shows no interest other than that.

My border collie mix was neutered and highly interested in bitches in season when he met them. It was the only time he really showed any interest in other dogs.

Jake ignores them. some idiot brought his in season JRT pup to the park, but Jake didnt pay any interest in her (at least non more than usual). she did get the attention of a male BC but i dont know if he was neutered or not and neither did the JRTs owner

My neutered males ignored it till the bitch hit her fertile period, then we had to keep them separate because the males got quite distressed.
But the boys were all neutered late and knew what to do - I don`t know how it`d be with an inexperienced dog.

Zeus ignores them to. I've had 2 in season stay on foster in the house and I saw no change in him at all.

Max my previous dog neutered at 17 months old showed no interest.

Ollie neutered at 6 months shows a lot if interest he is very confused about what he has too do but he won't leave them alone.

It was actually Boomer (at 14.5 years old, neutered at 10 months old) that told me Skye had come into season in January. Bertie (now 12 years old, neutered at 14 months old) is always mounting the girls even when they're not in season.
