Flaxseed Oil & Kelp

A holistic vet recommended I give Dallas flaxseed oil and kelp.
I was wondering if anyone knew how much to give.

I bought flaxseed oil capsules at 1300mg and the kelp are tablets at 650mg. Dallas is 170lbs.

Did you mean 650mcg Kelp tablets as 650mg is an exceedingly high dose.

It's says 650mg on the bottle.

Definitely says 650mg Kelp [provides 520 mcg of Iodine] per tablet, the dosage for a woman being 1 tablet a day.

Does Dallas have thyroid problems?

Yes, he's got hypothyroidism.

Did the holistic vet not advise the dosage? If I were you I would check with him/her.

I was there for my other dog so I didn't ask too many other questions. I should have. It's really hard to get a hold of this vet since she does a lot with horses and livestock so is traveling from farm to farm a lot.
