no, he looks ok from these photos. from what I can see.

He is a handsome boy Katy, I cant really tell whether he looks fat or not basically because I cant judge labs as they are not my breed, I do see a lot of labs that I feel are overweight but then I am picky about weight issues in dogs.

A good rule of thumb is that he should have a waist and you should be able to feel the ribs (not necessarily see them) but if you cant feel them easily when you run your fingers accross his side then he is okay if you cant then he could probably do with loosing a few lbs. I know labs have a tendency to gain weight so one thing I will say is the younger you keep the weight off them the better they are when they are older and in turn the healthier and longer life they will live.

thanx guys. i can feel his ribs when i run my fingers across his side. i think he looks so fat to me cos my best mates dog is a boxer and obviousley they are a totally different shape to labs and make all labs look fat!!
