Oh booger

Feeling shaky and need to talk. Does not matter if nobody is listening though. Just got to bed and the sirens started howling and BOOM. And I am frightened.

Hello, it is a pain isn't it.

I used to either watch the fireworks when I lived in Lebanon or go to sleep on the premis that what would be would be.

Look at it this way, if you can hear it, you aint dead!

Oh Malka... I hope you are ok? And it's not too close? Get Pereg in for a cuddle, she'll help you feel safer I'm sure...

Hope you manage to get some rest tonight. Sending you a big {{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}} from me and all the huskies.

Must be so unsettling.

Look after yourself.

Pereg was with me - we had just gone to bed when the Color Red sounded. I have never been very good with sirens, being born during WWII - possibly the first sounds I remember hearing.

Thing is this was the local siren as well as the ones in town, and they were so loud. Not sure where the thing landed by reckon it was in a field because of the thump - felt it through the ground - hope it was just a field but it was very close.

We are supposed to have 15 seconds to get into a secure or safe room and it would take me more than 15 seconds to even attempt to get out of bed, but nowhere in my rather elderly bungalow is safe. and the thing landed while the sirens were still wailing.

And now the fear has started again.

You are right SB - really should go back to bed as it is coming up to 1am but it will be difficult to relax enough to sleep.

I guess that is why I came back on the computer - just wanted a bit of company. It is horrible being alone right now.

What went boom?

Sounds scary!

We often get a police helicopter with a search light over our house that really creeps me out. I get scared a murderer is going to try and break in to escape the law!!

Ive always been told I was blessed with an imagination - at times it is a curse!

Hope you manage to relax. Nothing worse than being scared silly.

Living under the constant threat of bombs is no picnic.
