Aww so sorry to hear about Sammy, Chris

This year seems to have been really sad for a lot of us on Dogsey, we're always here if you need us - so many of us know what you're going through.

Sleep tight Sammy, I'm sure you will be missed very very much.

Thank you all so much.

Today feels very strange. It's the first time in 16 years that I haven't woken up to waggy tails. The World today seems upside down somehow.

Every time I walk into the living room, I have a sharp intake of breath because that little head with its badger stripe isn't there to look up to see if I've brought him some goodies back from the kitchen.

Emotions are all over the place. Sad (oh yes so very sad), but also relieved because over this past week my boy was losing his will to live and his eyes told me that he needed peace.

Run free my beautiful boy now young, fit and healthy over at the bridge and reunited with Jade.

There will never be another Sam. Truly a dog in a million with so much love to give and we were only too happy to return that love in bucketfuls

Hate reading these posts and once upon a time I didn't. They always make me cry but decided that I ought to because I might need people's *love* myself one day and boy did it come quicker than I realised. I am so very sorry for your loss, its' so hard to let them go isn't it? sending hugs to you and RIP dear Sam. It sounds as if you all had a wonderful life together and what more can any of us ask for? xxxxx
