Feeding Frozen Raw - ok?

I found this on the UKRMB site:

"Many dogs will eat their rmbs straight from the freezer, without incurring any detrimental effects. If you are not happy with feeding frozen raw, then simply take the following days food from the freezer and allow to defrost in the fridge until the next day"

Does anyone have any experience or opinions on feeding frozen raw?

It's great if they'll have it.

Not only does it work extra hard on any plaque, but also gives them some extra water intake, slows them down to chew it more effectively, and they love it in the summer when it's hot.

When it does get warmer I also put things like carrots or fish inside small tubs, float in water and freeze, like giant ice pops, they love it

Alot of people who dont like handling the offal, feed it frozen, as it's less messy too !

It can also be great mental stimulation too, if it's something that needs careful manipulation to eat, or they have to chase it around, sliding on the floor

Ohhh yeah..

Mine get frozen heart, kidney etc.. its vile fresh!!

I give them frozen marrow bones too it takes them longer to eat them..

I make fishy ice cubes for them in the summer... Take a freezeable tub and fill it with water and mushed up tuna or sardines.. then freeze it.. when its half frozen mix it all up and freeze it solid..

Thanks Malady, that's really helpful.

Maybe I'll try it outside though; don't fancy bits of frozen liver sliding around my kitchen .

Mine will all eat frozen meat of any kind quiet happily as well as defrosted, plus frozen meat takes them longer to eat as well as cleans their teeth.

The only thing that I won't feed them defrosted is any kind of offal as it's totally gross.

We often feed ours their food frozen. It also has the advantage of slowing down fast eaters as they actually have to chew their food

One of mine loves Ice cubes and if you get them out of a dispenser and drop one, he is straight over to pick it up! I don't tend to feed heart/kidney/liver completely frozen, but that is due to the fact I don't bag it up in individual portions before putting it in the freezer, so would have a very hard time cutting it up frozen. Tripe is always fed frozen though
