One of my friends has got a Smooth Collie - he's been a real revelation! He's just been graded as a search and rescue dog and having done quite a lot of bodying for him, I can safely say he's a real pleasure to be around. He's bouncy (very!) sociable, playful, very trainable and lovely looking.

When he was first given him by the breeder, a lot of people were quite cynical because he seemed so narrow in the head, with these little, beady eyes - but the whole package still works and although he's not got the agility and stamina of working collies bred for generations from dosg that worked very steep ground, he's a cracking dog. He was reluctant to go through dense vegetation - but for a pet dog that isn't so bad!
