A walk with the oldie...

I walk a friends dog during the week while she is at work. He is a lovely old boy, aged at least 21 (same age as me!). He is a rescued stray so his definite age is unknown but she has had him for 20 years. He is going a litte blind, and quite deaf but he still gets excited to go a walk and boy can he move! He does get a bit fed up after a while and tries to pull me back home!

The pics are blurry (sorry!) but it was hard to take non-blurry pics coz i used my mobile, while walking and holding the dogs in one hand

Off we go...

Having a sniff...

Going different directions

Barney...

Jake...

Walking nice-ish...

Seeing something across the water...

Back at Barneys house, and waiting to get in...

Barney making me feel guilty before we go...

Beautiful! Both of them not just the oldie!

Walked our old lady today (she's 'only' ten and a half!) She is so slow now, it's almost painful! But her tail is high the whole time and although blind she obviously enjoys it!

Thanks Aw, its so sad when they slow down i know a Goldie and she is 11 and struggles to walk, her back end looks like its going to go... she loves her walks though, and the past few weeks she has been on new medication and has a new spring in her step

Wow incredible age! And he looks so well too.

You could get the owner to send his picture up to one of the dog magazines that does a special page for older dogs. They get a special cake if they are the oldest dog and I am sure this one would be!
