Jealous dog and kitten

Hi!

I have 7 years old bitch who has always been very jealous and quite distrustful with strangers (humans and animals both). Now I found a small kitten and took it home with me. The whole day my dog has whined and made sounds like crying and barking at the same time. Every time when somebody comes near the kitten she start whining more loudly or tries to go between and very actively. As she is big compared with kitten (she is 25 kg), she may hurt kitten even just with that. As the result of that the kitten is afraid of her.

Once I had couple of days quest with dog and she also behavied just like that all these days. Although on neutral territory they have been friends almost a year.

Can somebody advise me what to do with her behaviour. How can I calm her and make them to accept each other?
