Eeeeeeeeeew but wooohooo !!!

Lily has just brought me a present - A dead half grown blackbird Not sure if it was already dead when she found it or it had tried to fly and landed where she could get it !!

She very kindly came running indoors and deposited it on my knee and looked at me expectantly for one of her special swapsie sweets.

I'm really pleased that she's getting the bringing stuff back to me but

The B's would catch it but no way would they give it to you, they would sneak off to do their worst.

Good girl Lily for bringing it but nooooo to catching it!

Milly will catch whatever she can and run back to show me what she's got with tail wagging and a happy body (if you know what I mean), and then she'll carry it around with pride for ages checking back in with me to let me see that she's still got it. Aww, bless her.

Her favourite atm is frogs - but she has been known to find rabbits, squirrels, ducklings, rats, mice .... mostly I think she has found the bigger animals, not caught them, and it's getting less frequent now that she's got Casper (a heavy footed elephant in spaniel skin/fur) leaping around with her and giving an advance warning to the little critters.
