I think I would still take her back to the vet, just in case something is holding up delivery ie. badly positioned first pup or sadly a dead pup, leaving it waiting for labour to happen could be dangerous, she could lose the whole litter and mum.

no news as yet. I`m really hoping she is still pregnant, not really had chance to speak to friend today as yet.

Well if she is still pregnant then she is either well over due or your friends had her when she was mated
