Just reading all this now, poor Baku, and poor you!!! My goodness, I wonder was it a spent firework bit that landed in your garden? Who knows.

Aw Zuba (hug) I am so sorry, as if you haven't got enough to cope with already with one poorly dog ..
On the plus side Baku is young and fit so is in with a good chance ,and I will be sending heartfelt healing thoughts his way..

As to the skewer, my guess is it may be from someones BBQ and was either dropped on the floor and picked up or taken from a dustbin by a passing cat or fox, then discarded near your house.

All this waiting is driving me nuts, Zuki is in a right huff and wont even give me any kisses or cuddles, I think she thinks she is missing out Thank you everyone for your kind words and support, I am going to the vets shortly to see him, just incase I feel so bad my bad luck is rubbing off on my babies
