Taffy

Today we took the sad decision to put Taffy to sleep. He had a failed rehoming last week and it has become obvious that with his failing faculties he would not be able to adjust to life in a new home without lots of hard work and lots of stress to him.

We felt it was fairer to take the decision now than put him through months of life in kennels while we waited for something major to happen to him to force our hand in to making the decision.

Some dogs are happy in any home but Taffy just wanted one home, his old home. I like to think he is with his owner once more.

Sleep well old man, no more tablets, no more vet trips, no more stress.

I'm so sad for Taffy.

How very sad. But the alternatives sound even sadder.
