THINK

Think is a fantastic little boy and I just can't understand why he hasn't been snapped up. He is a stunning boy, very small for a lab, closer to beagle size. He is still a little timid and although he walks well on a lead now I definitely think he would benefit from another dog. He does follow their lead. He is a smashing boy, playful, calm, kind and definitely now learning to trust.

08-11-11 UPDATE
We've had this lovely boy for a few days now, and wow what a smashing dog he is. He is still a little nervous in some situations but is beginning to trust and is gaining confidence every day. He loves company both human and canine, he likes to be with you, and loves to lay down beside you, he mixes well with our dogs, and is showing no interest in cats. Think (we call him Spirit, because his true strength of character is starting to shine through) is clean in the house and in his crate overnight, he is not destructive and is very gentle with children. All in all, Think although small in stature epitomises everything that is great about the labrador, he is a loving, wriggly, soppy, goofball of a dustbin! and would make a wonderful addition to almost any family, although a resident dog would suit better. As the saying goes..... the nicest things come in small parcels.

Marley – 12 month old male Labrador

Marley is a yellow lab boy, who is around 12 months old he is very playful and loves other dogs and good with children, he needs someone who knows about the breed and can further his training. He is a lovely boy who loves his tummy being tickled.

Thanks for the links.

Unfortunately Murf Many Tears will only consider him for a small dog as he is 71

They haven't taken into account that he is active, experienced and been training dogs for nearly 50 years and has always had Goldies.

I'll look into the other ones for him though.

Would he not take on an older dog?

Jeta (left) and Polly

This lovely pair of ladies came into the Ark Animal Rescue as their owner moved house and the daughter took them but it didn’t work out. Polly looks after Jeta and, when they’re resting, they couldn’t snuggle up any closer if they tried.

Jeta is a small, 15 year old, mainly black Corgi cross and Polly is a large, 4 year old yellow Labrador. They are both friendly dogs. Jeta was beaten in a previous home, so tends to be more nervous, but loves affection. Polly carries her bowl around, loves playing and will look after you.

Jeta likes women and Polly likes adults. Both have lived with an 11 year old child and been good. They get on well with other dogs but they strongly dislike cats!

This lovely pair have never shown any aggression and are very much a pair. They bark when approached by strangers, but will sit quietly very close together when resting. They have always lived outside and slept in an outside kennel, so have never been house-trained and have been used to being left outside all day. They travel well. Jeta is very good on the lead, but Polly pulls quite badly, although they are fine off the lead with good recall. Polly loves toys, especially rope and tug toys.

Both Jeta and Polly are vaccinated and are fit and well.

Clifford is around 10 months old and is a smashing young dog, very friendly and very waggy-tailed. He is soft and loving bless him, and we find it very hard to understand how someone could have just throw him out to fend for himself. He still very much looks like a big puppy and we pray he won’t be waiting long for his new home to come along.

You will need a secure, enclosed garden and be able to take him to a good training class please. He will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside the county of Norfolk subject to a successful homecheck. He could very possibly live with another dog as he is good with other dogs, he would be fine with older children and could possibly live with a cat.
