It is getting colder here. Roads flooded and cars abandoned due to driving too fast in the flood water. Traffic held up everwhere trying to get around the “dumped cars”, why do they try and got full tilt through flood water beats me
Sue has been saying the car window screen for some time has a light smearing on it even though Nissan put on new blades. So just been down to Halfords and got some Bosh “double edge” wiper blades and the guy fitting them recons the Nissan ones put on with the last service were “cheap” . Think it is down to the valet with the service, so next time no valet as the suff they use should only be for bodywork not windowscreens. Just have to see if he new blades are better, in the meantime I am waiting for a specialist product from China of all places to see if that helps.

Good afternoon

Hope your other will be ok it is awful round here with flooding.

School run this morning. The journey usually takes 20/25 minutes but it took me and hour and a half just in time to pick the girls up and head out for school. The main road leading up to the Hailsham turn off was flooded both sides a usual and both roads leading into Ben's estate flooded, with a car dumped in the middle of the road in one. Going in I was able to get past but going back I had to take the other road which was very busy as everyone else had to do the same. Th main A27 was at a standstill also. There is always a problem on the turn off for Brighton, flooding or accidents but do they widen the road do they heck. Well back to tackle it again this afternoon but may take a back road and hope for the best.

Take care everyone

Barry, the trouble is now, the valet is usually through a car wash, our place was always sponge and jet wash, then we moved and they had a car was installed.....worst thing ever
Sue, pleased you made it to collect the girls o.k and I hope if you are picking them up, that journey is easier
Got some slippers and dropped my uncles cheese off, got my eyebrows threaded and the lady has to leave her shop as it's being demolished and she hasn't found another premises yet....panic stations here as she does such a great job

Good evening all

The flooding sounds bad. Thankfully, it's so far so good here.

The hospital appointment was exhausting. He had to see two doctors in different clinics. The first was lasted an hour and a half and she fitted a prism film on one lens of his glasses which corrects the double vision. The second did a whole host of tests too and said the film wasn't fitted correctly so we had to go back to the first doctor who wasn't happy. She said she'd had a long day and I said so had I so she then calmed down a bit.

The upshot is that the think the problem may have started last time he had a fit and fell, fracturing his nose. We have to go back to first doctor in six weeks and the second in eight and if the problem is still there, then they will do scans

Got back just before full dark which was a blessing as I can't see to drive properly in the dark

Bless you Chris, I really hope that the film helps. Could he have fractured his eye socket at the time of the fit? My ex was a doorman, he had a bit of trouble on the door and ended up rushed to hospital, I went down to be with him and they told us he had a fracture...please note A fracture, mark lived in cheslyn hay so we went back to his house and we then had to go to hospital the next day. We went to the second hospital who retook x-rays ( long before digital records) turns out he actually had 3 fractures and one of them if it didn't heal correctly would need surgery! They were saying stuff about his vision and bite being affected.

As yet, they don't know.

He was seen as an emergency so the department was chockablock

I'm guessing at his next appointment full scans will be done and maybe a CT scan or MRI requested. It's very much a wait and see, but I didn't need to stress the importance of his eyesight to them as they know just how important it is to someone who is deaf
