ITV news on NOW Man to be jailed for Dog Fighting

Got ITV lunchtime news on just now and just heard that one of the stories to be covered is about a guy from walsall who has just been sentenced to jail for turning mans best friend into a killer.

About time jail sentences handed out to these B*stards

He had 3 pitbulls which were seized

4 months he'll only serve 2 and the poor dogs what a life they must have had.

I suppose at least it is a start 4 months and banned from keeping dogs better than a slap on the wrist and a fine I guess

I saw it too - poor dogs were all ripped to shreds.
These people make me sick - 4 months is nothing, he will be out in 2 or less.

He will probably serve 6-8 weeks in prison, which is quite normal, and change his name to overcome the Ban on keeping dogs ! It's not good enough IMO.

That's awful. I dont like this ban on keeping animals punishment because of the loop hole as it only covers that one person. Person's who are banned only have to live with somebody else and he can then clame that the animal belongs to another member of family and there's nothing the police can do as they (guilty person) are not legally responsible for animal.
