Eyesight can really upset some dogs, Polly has bitten Tassle (person) and a friend who tried to guide since being blind (not to mention numerous people at the vets!)and I always have to let her know as far as possible what is going to happen.

I'd try and avoid giving her anything that you may later have to take away---and I'd leave trail lead on in case she decides to extend the behaviour. In emergencies try scattering really good food away from the place she is holed up in and then holding the trail lead and moving her away BEFORE picking up the item.

I don't think it sounds medical at all but if it sets your mind at rest have a check up. You could find out how much sight she has left but I didn't bother with Poll as that would have given her more chance to grab a victim
