It's great to hear the good experiences... I like the idea of a birthing pool... But a little concerned at how to empty it afterwards!!! If it's in my lounge/diner with carpet too, what if it leaks?!

I have thought about home birth, but a close friend had one and it ended up in emergency c-section. I don't like the idea of hospital either...so I'm going to try and get into the local birthing centre, if I'm considered low risk enough.
I desperately want to give birth in the water, but don't know if there'll be one available.

14 September, when are you due?

I move to a totally new area in 3 weeks so I'm not sure how 'home birth friendly' they are..
