Just caught this thread, this very situation happened with my Old Collie Cross Max, refusing to eat/drink couldn't get up on his feet and seeming to give up on life but after a trip to the vets he came around spectacularly and he thrived a happy and contented life (with the help of metacam for his arthritis) for another 18mths until he really couldn't pull himself around for a second time, he was 18yrs old when we lost him.

So great news to hear Kelly has decided life might be worth sticking around for at least a little while longer
