Well, I for one am glad you've got him now!!!!

What was the problem with the food? Did he simply not want to eat? Been-there-done-that with my BC so if that's the case.... I know the frustration!!!!! And I feel for you!!!!

Funny, I've never had a problem with food with my children..... but got it with spades with my dog... go figure????

He has had a hernia op so cannot have too much in one go. the person who bred him had him on 3 meals, but he was a tad skinny. I have moved him up to 4/5 meals, but he would not touch the kibble.
What with the funny tummy and being underweight - I was not really up for mucking him about....but needed to get something in there....
He is now on chicken and rice....and I am hoping to get him towards F4D.

But he is eating the chicken and rice well and gaining weight....

Name response good....recall - tentative, very dependent on the situation - for example - he will not come if there are other people nearby. If its just me and him, depends on what else is about (Rabbit poo is a big distraction at the moment) if the other dogs are about he will usually come back well, he is SO much more relaxed when they are around.

sendaways and retrieves come next week (G)!

I have had him in the house and he tolerated me in exchange for camembert cheese. So things are looking up.

He will also come and sniff my fingers when I am sat in the garden.

He's a little cracker. His confidence will come eventually! How old is he?
