Doris And Daisy Degu.

Took some pics of my Degu's last Autumn and only just found them again so though I'd post a few.

I rehomed these two in March from a bloke in Ripon. They only had a crappy PAH cage, so I bought a great big aviary cheap on ebay and they now live happily in this. It's slightly better furnished now than in these pics and I'm due to put in their digging box tomorrow!

They're full of character and now come when I call them which means they can have the run of the house when the mutts aren't here.

Anyway, here are the pics.


This is Doris, it only took me about 6 months to work out which was which!






And this is Daisy, she's much more reserved than Doris.

I love degus, I was SO tempted this Christmas, I have never seen so many for sale.

Not too keen on Degu's though - but they look gorgeous!

The guy said he had too many animals to be able to look after them properly. They certainly didn't seem badly cared for, but he did have a lot of small furries in numerous cages. Plus I think a lot of people don't realise how long they live for!
