Gem,s training

Hi all my Lab retriever is 13 months old and we started her gun dog training just 8 weeks ago.
Most things are going fine, she retrieves well all the time even from deep water, this week she has been introduced to live game (chickens to start with) Rabbits next week,
She dont seem to mind the chickens as long as they dont move quick . I threw a dummy in between them and Gem was so interested in retrieving she ignored the chickens. Phew...
I am now trying to learn her the stop whistle this is not working yet. When she sets of she is like a steam train. (any help is welcome)
She walks to heal off the lead ( nearly) but as soon as lead goes on her she wont then do it.
Any way thats enough for now I will keep you all updated on her progress.
