How much do your dogs cost you a year?

Well I have just been sitting down trying to work out how much my dogs cost me approximately each year, and after adding up the insurance (£67 pm), food (£80 pm), vet bills and other little bits and bobs, my lot only cost me around £2,500, which was alot less then I first thought.

So what do you think you pay out each year on your dogs?

Apart from to much. A rough estimate would be 1800-2000 p/y on regular things, food/insurance/booster/fleaing and worming. And not sure on the non-reg things.

Don't like to think about it Colin

Of course we only have two compared to your six and we are lucky in that Vets bills are much lower (Most of the vets in this country are cr*p but we seem to have found one of the few good ones )

Food costs are about the same, my guess would be that our two cost about 700 pounds a year which (pro-rata) is not much less than you

Insurance and food per month is about £60, then jabs etc plus all the little things that she needs - toys, bed etc.
But overall I expect not much more than £1000.
Pretty good value.
Don't think you could buy the pleasure and fun that she gives us for any amount of money.

That's exactly what I thought.

That's a scary question. Insurance £50 a month, food £45 a month, training classes £40 a month, and vet not sure.
So that's £135 a month plus vet, plus toys and treats.
So there can't be much change from £2,000 for the two of them.

A lot less than the cigarettes, gambling, designer clothes, hairdo`s, booze, luxury holidays and toyboys I would no doubt have to spend it on if they weren`t there!

What do the dogs cost? Don't know.... and don't care really.

The love they give back? Priceless.

I defiantly agree about the fags, as I have only just come back from driving over to Adinkerke to get mine and Michelle's supply for the next three months, and even at the cost of £34.50 for 200 Superkings, I still managed to spend £862.50 on just 5,000 fags.

Mine you I do save on the hair, as I'm losing it faster then it will grow.
