Good luck Casper and Kiki were parallel walked at the rescue and it wasn't great, but being a GSD rescue they understood that reactive didn't necessarily mean aggressive. We went off to a secure paddock and they were much better together off-lead, we had a behaviourist pop in and supervise and she was confident they'd be fine once Casper calmed down a bit - she was definately right!

Thanks so much everyone!

It went fairly well this afternoon, they didn't go off lead as they haven't got Miami used to a muzzle. We walked along together at a distance and both dogs were relaxed, Miami acted more playful towards him today. They did have one wee bark at each other but the girls with us today were understanding and know that both dog types can be gobby gits lol! Anyway the behaviourist told us to come back for a 3rd walk, see if we can get them to have a sneaky sniff of each other without confrontation, then hopefully let them off lead in the paddock! It's difficult trying to get in to see her around work and although they want us to go in sooner it will have to wait till Saturday afternoon now.

Really hope it works out.

I would just go for the off lead in the paddock too, sometimes the less interference the better IMO.

Wish you luck, it seems such a shame if the rescue wont see how good a home she would have with you.

Yeah me too! I'm hoping the behaviourist that walked with us yesterday will come again cos she seemed happy to do a lap on lead with them and get them to have a wee sniff then let them off! Wish it was up to me!
