HTM/Freestyle?

Just wanted to ask - what is the difference between 'heelwork to music' and 'freestyle'?

Came up in another thread but didn't want to go OT!

Hi

Freestyle is anything goes, heelwork is 70% of the dog working in close positions to your leg. There are 8 positions, normal HW both left and right, dogs head facing you shoulder by your leg, across the front of you and across the back of you.

Too much freestyle in HW should mark you down and vice versa.

Oh I see thankyou very much

So H2M is literally, heelwork taken from obedience and set to music, wheras freestyle is much more the 'doggy dancing' with any moves allowed.

I understand now.
