Appointments

Why can't you just get a Doctors apoointment anymore!! OH rang up his Doctors, he has Chest pains, don't know if it is related to the fact he gave up smoking 11 days ago, but the receptionist in her wisdom, said it was non urgent and someone would ring him at midday to see if they might fit him in

Some practices are better/worse than others. Ours is pretty good:

My friends partner had chest pains yesterday - GP saw him straight away and was then sent to hospital in an ambulance, he was rather poorly, still not great but still none the wiser on what is wrong. (I think they should have rung 999 as he collapsed in pain, but at least he got to hospital quite quickly in the end.)

I hope your OH is OK, I would go there anyway, not wait for them to say it's fine to go.

Doctors receptionists are a waste of space most worked in the local chip shop a month earlier
I always thought that chest pains especially of people of a certain age were priority

Me too, when I had Chest pains, I was told to go straight to Hospital, I think because of family history too(Dad died at 44yrs)
