I have it terribly, always have - i found betnovate creams, gels and lotions (corticosteroids - Betamethasone Valerate) work well - If you have the condition on your head (like me ) then you could try polytar liqud...

Oilatum is a pretty good one too apparently, but i've never tried it.

hth?

xx

I developed psoriasis at the age of 40 and have had it ever since. Some weeks it is better than others but it has never actually gone. The bottom half of my left leg is covered, both elbows and my right knee plus on all my knuckles. My doctor is THE most unsympathetic cow out and will only give me betnovate which doesn't work for me. Betnovate also has the disadvantage of being a steroid which will thin your skin if you use it for too long

I was give Dovenox (sp?) once which was better but havent had it since.

My oldest son Luke (29) also has it but his comes and goes depending on stress, he gets his in the groin, under his arms and in his hair

Oilatum is pretty good for the bath,
And i find its helpful for me to avoid too much in the way of 'Dairy' foods-eggs particually.I still eat plenty of Dairy products but just in moderation.
By far the best thing i've found is......The Sun. Drys it out well and seems to calm the itching,Tricky living in GBR,I cheat i have a sunbed!
