What time does your dog wake up in the mornings?

Eddie (our rescue of one week) consistently wakes up at 5.30am each morning ... he sleeps in a crate in the kitchen which we have covered but it doesn`t seem to make any difference, 5.30am is playtime! Good job I am a morning person, but another hour in bed would be nice!

Obviously it is lighter, he hears the birds & maybe that is the time he was up & about in foster & kennels, his fosterer worked full-time & had 20 other dogs to look after, so she possibly had them all up & out in the garden around that time to clean crates & feed them all. He is nearly 2 years old by the way.

I wondered what time yours get you up?

Mine get up whenever I get up. It varies from 6.30 - 8.30 am. They are both lazy and would lie in bed all day if given the chance

Ally gets up depending on what time she went to bed the night before

If its a "normal" day, she will get up around 6. Weekends she can stay asleep to 10 though *whispers* which I love

All mine get up at 5.....a whole hour before I have to so its not appreciated, particularly at the weekends. But then again you can get so much done at that time and on a sunny day its lovely to go for a walk.

Well in the weekdays when I have to go to work, we get up at 5 am.. In the weekends Oliver (the cat) starts miauing at around 6.30-7 am, that wakes up Luna, who then umps on me untill I get up... Normally I go to bed again on the saturdays

Sundays we have dogtraining at 9 am, so will have to get out the door at 8 am (if we bike), 7.45 am (if we walk) and 8.30 (if we have my dad's car)

This might sound odd but we don't think Saffy sleeps at night. We've never woke up and she's not been awake. She normally lies in bed (head peeking out at the bottom of the duvet) until both of us get up or Aileen takes her for a walk before work. She seems to sleep in the morning instead.
