mental health

Ok as most of you know Pippa lost her pup this week.....her pysical health seems good she is hardly loosing and her milk is now almost gone.........but mentally I wonder how long it will take ..its like the other girls are tip toeing around her and even a passing glance she can growl at them ....also feeding times are a night mare she will guard her food until they have finished then growl at them for even looking

now I know its only been 5 days and her hormoans are very up and down
but any advice would be great ?

i have had to take away all toys even the ones she never touches as she she gets touchy when the others play with thm

Hi Inca i'm afraid it will take time for her hormones to settle and there is no easy answer. I would try to ignore unwanted (though natural )behaviour and be as normal as possible around her and try to 'jolly her' along + walks and play as diversions.

Hello Inca,

Pippa has been programmed to fullfill the task of rearing a litter, as this is now no longer possible, she is back to normality, with her brain directing her to do something she no longer can acheive, I would attempt to introduce something new to her enviroment, to help her need to be doing something, and try to stimulate her brain in a new direction, basically something to take her mind off her predicament.
