Bertie

Bertie is a two-year-old, male Jack Russell Terrier crossbreed, who came to The Mayhew because his previous owners no longer had time for him. He is a friendly and sociable dog who is good with teenagers, but has not yet been tested with younger children. He gets along very well with other dogs, with whom he adores playing 'chase me' in the park. He also loves to play fetch with humans. He is very well-behaved when off of his lead and will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day. He is toilet-trained and knows basic commands and is very clever and obedient. A playful little dog who is lively in the park and calm in the home. He can be left alone for up to four hours without any problems. Bertie loves his food and likes attention, though he is not overly affectionate.

Bertie will make a wonderful companion or family dog and would be suitable for first-time guardians with knowledge of terriers. His new guardians will be taking on a thirteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

Wow - That was quick - glad he found his forever home so quickly.
