It makes me so happy to read of Tess's ongoing progress. All the things that could become problems, you are ironing out and helping her see that there are other ways of dealing with stuff. Owning a collie who has clearly been the victim of thoughtless, careless owners is hard when you know these dogs cry out to be told what to do and are so quick to learn.

Tess is one very lucky pup as are Skye, Bruce and Reah.

I thought this thread had stopped and Tess had stopped her antics but no I had missed it and just caught up
Seriously Steph Tess is just the funniest sounding dog, you write it and I can picture it in my head You may turn grey and shake a lot by the end but she is one funny dog, who is always happen and just wants to please (poor baby rat, plants, and fish in pond) I can see Tess' head under the water and the fish thinking 'what is that fish, it has a very big head'
Loving the updates for everything she learns she picks up a new quirk that will be her character when she is older.
Bless the other dogs for accommodating her so well, even if they get bowled over by her from time to time.
This thread is better than any show on TV, it has drama, romance, action, comedy, gardening, wildlife & horror (poop).

Day 10................

The Devil has visited and now left the building.......well for a moment or two

Got up earlier and nothing, no wee, no poo's etc., perfect. Let them all out and there she was an angel, pure and innocent........what the hell happened, she came back in and was a devil, running round and round, tugging the bed from under Bruce, diving at him, barking at him, grabbing his collar........Bruce having decided this manic thing was worth ignoring did exactly that, which made The Devil more angry, so she got his tail and dragged him across the floor.

Now 3 firm NO's from Mom did it, and she lay down nice and peaceful and our angel had returned.

Took Pat and I a coffee back upstairs, got up 1/2 hour later..OMG The water bowl had been upturned, the floor swimming in water, Skye and Bruce frantically trying to sit on a couple of inches of bed, as every toy was out, a couple had been poo'd on, she was chucking everything in the air having a ball the others thought it was raining toys

The ''''Mommy look''''' did it outside she went and stood halfway up the garden watching me mop up all the mess head tilted looking like a picture. All dogs were wet....thanks to the bowl of water Bedding now in the washing machine, and kitchen cleaned, she has had breakfast and brought in a lovely daffodil for me.......awwwwwwwww (at least this one didn't have the bulb attached.

but I can see it in her face.....she's plotting minx.

Perhaps if she wasn't so ''tank'' things would survive the Tornado Tess better Looks like today she has spring up her a**se

Awww Tess the Tank, she sounds absolutely fabulous!!! I love this diary Steph, you can tell you love her so much... she must be thanking her lucky stars that you took her home and she has some lovely aunties (and Uncle Chris) that helped her get there!! Give her a hug from us, cos that girl sounds like a mad setter pup and brings back alot of memories!!

Well took Tornado Tess to the shopping precinct with our Foster son, thought abit of lone walking and socialising.

Funniest day I have had in a long time. Is she worried about cars, buses, trains, planes motorbikes....Not at all, so confident as larry
In the precinct she loved to attention from everyone who wanted to come and say hello....infact she put me in mind of a break dancer, with her bum swivells, twists, rolling on her back and front paw movements
Started to walk back and then it happened....wooooooohoooooo the big Blue monster that squawked and screamed....then she was afraid......chap by us had his parrott on his shoulder she was having none of it....so funny

Think she was so glad to get in the house, big greeting by the others and now she is pooooooop'd

The afternoon has been no pleasure I have to say....why Oh why do dogs decide that when certain people come they will just plainly misbehave

Our niece arrived at 12.45, and I had just got started ....so that was todays plans firmly squashed.

Now its not like they don;t know her, especially the big uns, I expected Tess to react in a ''''PARTY PARTY MOOD''''' but Bruce really should know better they have clattered and clanked stuff, chased each other in and out the garden, Tess has presented Nicki with gifts...mainly mud, and sorts, Bruce has knocked her cuppa over in the middle of chase....so TIMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT was called, nothing else for it even New Street station wasn't that busy Im sure.

I left them in the kitchen for a hour and they slept soundly, allowed them back in and what angels they were, sitting and being all lovey dovey....when both of us went....PHEW!!!!! Tess doing silent hisses...and boy what a stink, so I opened the back door and let her out, little minx does nothing...not a thing, nought, zilch, f.....all
Comes in all goodie goodie two shoes, Nicki has just left....my water ornement outside by the pond has been replaced by a savaged mess....and she has poo'd in one of my shoes

How she fitted her bum in that God knows
