We rented a field:) Estrelas and Malamute

I found out about a farmer who was renting out a field for dog people so I went to have a look. We started on Wednesday and we have hired it for six months. It's about 15 minutes drive from home, but worth it to have somewhere safe for the dogs to run together.

I bet it's lovely that you can let them all off to have a good run round together, safe in the knowledge that they cant go anywhere and you wont get the annoyed by other dog owners.

My Akita boy can't be let off lead-- it's a condition of his rescue contract, and the daft (I can't say that word? Huh, didn't think it was naughty, but oh well) wouldn't come back anyway. We can let him run though at our summer place where we have a big fenced in garden, and he loves it so much. I'd love a field for him...

I can go at any time but if someone else is on there you just wait or ask permission to come in. I've been four times and only seen one person with a young selectively deaf Lab that had a good play with my girls. It's £10 per month, you can pay for 6 or 12 months but he said if we didn't like it he would give us the money back for the months we hadn't used, so no risk there. He's happy as long as everyone cleans up after their dog.
