puppy collar

Ok,

I went to PAH today and was very disappointed with the lack of puppy collars.

I was looking for something very light just to get her used to wearing one rather than anything else but they only had small adult collars.

What should I do? I'm going to go have a look at some other places otherwise there's one online that I can buy.

I liked this one but thought it may be too heavy because it has that plastic bit on with the design. I did like it though. Am I right in thinking it looks far too heavy for a puppy's first collar?

I also bought a mini good cuz and a chew bone/toy. I couldn't find a zoom groom brush either
Is there an age limit on the nylabone things? I bought one but want to make sure that when she wants it, she'll be ok with it!

Thanks!

Lottie

That one is very pretty Lottie, but does look a bit heavy for a first collar. Did you look at the cat collars? Some of those can be suitable for a first puppy collar.

The Nylabone should be fine for her

Thanks for the info Shadowboxer,

I didn't think about cat collars actually! I might go with that but I have I want one that I can attach a very light lead to for her to get used to aswell.

Canine concepts have puppy collars that are lightweight but the website isn't working at the moment

How about this one?

Do you think it would be light enough? It says for puppies or small dogs..

I didn't know this could be so difficult (it's partly because I'm stubborn and want pink/purple!)

It's the third one down - collar and lead set for £4.99
collar and lead sets

Lottie.

I've just bid on one similar to that on ebay but a bit cheaper and pink!

If that falls through then I'll get that one - thanks for the help SB!

If you can't get what you want Lottie then look at the cat collars on the link you posted. Most have a ring which you could attach a light lead to. I would not advise an eleasticated one though. There are cat leads too - all in very nice colours

I just wanted to quickly add that the cat collars that are not elasticated have a special quick release buckle - you should never attatch a lead to these collars - it would be fine in the house but never outside - these collars are made to come apart if pressure is put on them
