Advice needed please

I got that horribale tickly cough which is so painfull now and driving me mad my throat is raw and my head is going to explode if i keep coughing can anyone suggest anything to stop the tickle in my chest. It hurt now. Am gonna cry

Thank you murphy but i don't think i have any honey! Will treacle do lol plus if i had whiskey i'd have drunk it to knock me out thanks again

Half a lemon cut up in a strong glass/mug/ Teaspoon of honey (not treacle!) hot water. Add a soluble aspirin if your throat is very sore. Sip it all down. Sorted!

and you can repeat (without the aspirin) as often as you like. It wil rehydrate you and give you vitamin C as well as easing the pain and stopping the tickle.

So many people have this horrible bug - we need warmth and sunshine

aw saz sorry to hear you feel so bad. i am a big baby so i cant drink lemon honey or whiskey as i just dont like the taste but when i am poorly i drink gallons of water normally washes the bugs through

Agree with Dinahs mum but a whole lemon, the vitaminC is good for the cold and cuts the mucus and the honey soothes the throat then you need asprin to keep the temp down and help you sleep When I was very small and had whooping cough and nearly died I was given a paste of honey/butter/cider vinegar for my cough and hot blackberry vinegar to drink.
