GSD Lover

Hi there, I have two dogs. A GSD X called Baby, she is 12 years old, and the new addition to our family, Troy, a Czech/DDR GSD puppy who is 15 weeks old. Troy is a big boned, confident and highly intelligent boy. He is easy to train although very 'full-on'!! He really keeps us on our toes! Sometimes he is abit too boisterous for Baby as she's an old girl now.
Troy will be starting his working career within the year as a security patrol dog with my husband, but he'll always be our beloved pet first. Living in the comforts of our home along with Baby.
I'm interested to hear of any training tips that other people out there might have.

Do security patrol dogs undergo specific training with their licenced handlers.

Yes, Troy will start his training with my husband when he is 6-9 monthes, depending on his maturity.
