That is a good point about research. Any research needs to be checked for flaws.
BTW. The Coppingers bred and studied certain breeds of working dogs for many years.

Not relevant to house dogs kept as pets IMO.
Hound packs certainly have a heirachy and some are 'dominant' others 'submissive'
