All those 'bits' are bits of the ball he's scraped/chiseled off with his teeth! I got a good mind to take it back! But he's really enjoying it!

I remember when Bonnie was around (English Springer) and we used to tie a sock to her tail (what was left of it!) and she used to go round and round for ages trying to get it off! :smt096 When we got Woody (Lab) we tried the same thing, and it was fun for a while! Then everyones attention turned to something else and I heard this retching noise. Turned around and here's Woody with thread sticking out of his gob! He was trying to swallow the sock! I had to jam my hand half way down his throat to retrieve it, and he's supposed to be the retriever!!
