Buttons' new haircut.

Well I have just dropped Buttons off for a bath and a tidy up.I have asked for no clippers as I would like the option of handstripping him when it is ready.....I am going to give it a go myself hopefully!

Anyway,I am sitting here feeling a little nervous as to how my little shaggy man is going to look on his return.....

I will post a picture so that you can see the end result!

He'll be fine as long as he is cut and not shaved

Well I am so relieved....exactly what I asked for.

He has been bathed, nails trimmed, hairy feet trimmed right back,I can actually see his pads now and the rest of him has been just tidied up a little. Very subtle but easier to manage.......

Before and after photos below.I am afraid the side views are both action shots. He is a cocker puppy after all!

Before his cut.

He's very cute either way!

I would personally start a bit of stripping on his head if it's ready, I always find it easier to start when they're young.

It may be that he has no dead hair on his head to come out. Isla has a very hairy head and needs doing regularly, but I've only just needed to start doing Rossi's and he's nearly two now!

I would just try it with a pair of finger cots or rubber gloves and pluck out any wispy bits (the dead hair) you can see sticking up. When I get home later I'll try and get a pic of Fatty Isla's head as she's well over due to be stripped out, then at least you can see what I'm on about.
