Happy "Gotcha" Day - 1 year today

Well we survived.....we've had Cain one whole year as of today!!! What have I learned from this? Mainly never take a dog on without really knowing what you're getting into I was naive, I had NO idea how much hard work he would be and there were days when I thought I could no longer cope. But we've survived. We've both been on a major learning curve. He'd not as far forward as I thought he would be, but that's due to my naivity and I now know that Cain will improve, at his own pace, which is going to be very slow. There's been laughter, tears and tantrums. It's an ongoing emotional rollercoaster but one year later....and here we are So here's to see what the next year will hold......!

Me and Cain the Pain our on a walk

After initially wanting to eat him, Cain now loves our dog trainer

Celebrating his 1st birthday

Doing hydrotheraphy just for fun

With his favourite ball in the world

Enjoying summer time

Learning to overcome his doggy fear aggression with the guidance of Kiki

First time in the snow

First Christmas

Making friends with both Casper and Kiki

Sleepytime with his favourite cuddly crab

Earning his keep by proving he has many uses - including foot stool!

So one whole year. There were days I didn't think we'd get here, but here we and fingers crossed that next year, things can only get better! He's such a good boy really, loving, funny, enthusiastic and if he can just overcome his fear aggression then we can have even more fun together and hopefully some "normal" doggy walks.

Thanks for looking

Gotcha Days are so special, especially when such an improvement can be seen

Cain is beautiful and a lucky boy to be with you.

Well done for turning things around for the lad

Take good care and please give Cain a hug from me.

Seoniad.
