Good day folks - lets see if I am able to get things posted today. Heaven alone knows what went wrong yesterday but it fairly rubbed me up the wrong way! Oh well such are things when one is a professional "grumpy old git".
Moyra - yes I am enjoying my bit of freedom but have to admit that the Mem is a very easy task mistress. She knows that estate work and animals take preference over all else and so I'm left to do my own bidding most of the time. Must admit that I am occasionally called to heel for the odd bit of shopping or socialising but such is life! lol !
I see they are dispersing that rabble over in the Calais "jungle" heaven forfend that we end up with them. On the news it says some 70 "children?" are being housed in temporary accomodation in Torridge down in Devon - I bet they are chuffed to little mint balls. I saw some of these same "children" arriving here last week. Wherever they came from originally, they must mature very quickly as most of them were sporting a heavy stubble, one admitted to being 28!!!! We must be one of the world's softest touches. I know I'm a bit hard-hearted where people are concerned but why don't we wake up and just look at the way people manipulate the British sense of fairplay to their own advantage. Just one example being June's post of the other day ref the NHS - no one should be treated like that when they have worked and paid in all their life. Whilst persons of other origins (daren't say foreigners or I'd be accused of xenophobia) are at the front of the queue demanding something to which they have little or no entitlement.
Oh well! Time to take off with the dogs and let my blood pressure go down a bit! lol !
Bye fer now.

LG, you are so right. I think as a generous nation we are being taken as idiots. We must get to grip with the benefits system and stop housing and helping people who have not contributed. If some of those coming in from the Calais camp then ok if they have family here who will look after them but no, enough is enough! The continent has far more capacity than us to accommodate them and should do as they arrive in their quarter.

Sues sister emailed saying she would be here today yet booked train ticket for tomorrow. Families who would have them. So what Sue had cooking in the oven for today!!!!!!! we went out for a pub meal instead
This Calais migrant camp business, one easy way to get rid of them is machine guns, see how quickly they go back to where they come from. I have no time for scroungers and the like

Hosed down outside and did the beds, nice and deep now, straight away, as soon as the back (insulated) sleeping compartment is full, Cariad is in there, Zen is in and out. In the little kennel there is now a deep bed as well, and Mabs had taken up residence in it before I even closed the door. Handed out bones, so back out they came, but all rushed back in to bagsie their places once more. Those shavings from this new place are so tightly packed its a struggle to get them out, even though I am down to the end of the first one, good buy definitely, was a bit worried as they are coarser than what I usually get but I think they are better, they don't seem to get sopping wet and its more contained as well.
Ah love the twinnies having a Jammie Dodger for being good, have a lovely walk round Eileen.
I had the noise last night Brenda, but I went to sleep in the end thank goodness. Funny how sometimes it worse than others isn't it.Hoping you feel better in yourself very soon.
I'm sick of this health tourism and people coming to England to have babies, be treated for life threatening conditions and generally ripped off. How come THEY would get treated immediately, not told how busy they were and ambulances backing up. I had broken ribs and I've got osteoporosis and couldn't believe I was being told I was a nuisance. Hey thats how it is now I suppose, just got to get on with it

TW, if i ever heard a Dr tell someone in pain they were being a nuisance i would knock them straight on their ar*e!! how dare they!!! you are right, the nhs is fantastic, we are so very very lucky but everything has it's breaking point, could you imagine being on your hollybobs in say spain and running up a medical bill and just thinking you could shuffle off without paying...no fear, they won't start treatment until you provide insurance which is checked or if you have none a flippin credit card!
Brenda, hope your noise goes soon...i am quite lucky that it doesn't really trouble me all that much
Lacey, pleased the girls were well behaved...i have been good, can i have a jammy dodger?
Moyra, i am o.k thanks just i seem so very very tired
Sue, that is funny, your poor sister though you will never let her forget it will you? Lol
Hiya LG, pleased you aren't getting into too much mischief whilst you are being left to your own devices
Not being rude if i have forgot people...i still haven't read back properly.
Oh yeah, the baby i saw was around 5LB 4...or as his daddy says 2 kilos and 400g lol the one in neo natal is a little bit lighter and the concern is him not feeding means he won't make the weight up and be able to go home.
right, best go, got to take Dex to the vet...poor thing has been sick, struggled for the loo and is not eating, i am hoping it is not the end of the road for my beautiful 3 legged monster!

Thinking of Dex, Griff, and hoping its just a tummy upset.
Never got as far as a doctor, I saw someone who assess's you and as soon as I said I did it Saturday, she said I shouldn't be there, it was for emergencies only.Well there was not a chance I was making my way to A&E on a Saturday, nor Sunday. I had no idea there were rules in place as to how long you had to have been injured I'd had to get the bus there as the parking is so expensive and can travel free on a bus pass, so was sat in the bush shelter crying, watching whole extended families camping out there, and wondering what I had done wrong. Soooo took a week for me to see a doctor, of course, and nothing got done really. Still in pain around that area now, but never mind,I've not just come over in the back of a lorry so I need to be put at the back of any queue
Baby is a good weight Griff, but that sometimes happens with twins, one is a lot bigger than the other. I'm sure a corner will be turned very quickly. One thing the NHS is brilliant at is treating that sort of thing. Just not little old ladies
