Is chicken low protein? Would have thought that muscle meat was best part protein but I could be wrong, have always thought of low protein foods as veg and fat.

Chickens not low protien. All meats are good sources of protein and I'm pretty sure chicken is one of the best.
To find low protien I think you'd have to move away from meats

Hmm the reason I ask is that someone on another site has advised to someone else that chicken is a low protein food - just made me wonder thats all- I know body builders etc tend to eat chicken etc......

Think, Lel, that the person on the other site has not done their homework. One of the dangers of taking what you read on a forum without look at things yourself. Also the advantage of free and open discussion, if your wrong someone will soon point out your error.

Chicken is low in fat, but high in protein. As is turkey, which I think is slightly higher in protein than chicken.

well it was advised that chicken was one of the lowest protein foods (dont know whether that was meant to be with regard to lowest protein meats or foods in general?) as it was commented that high protein foods can make a dog highly strung and possibly aggressive ?
As Gus is sensitive to chicken and therefore doesnt have it (or only very very occasionally) I just wondered if I was feeding him too high a protein food thats all......
