have just spoke to the vets they recommend for dogs that do this to use advocate as it covers everything. We use Drontal so she needs to be changed as she was only wormed last week she said leave another week take her in get her weighed and they can perscribe it. Dear me dogs....lol

At least you know now. I only remembered half of what my vet told me - partly because mine don't so as soon as he asked and I said no, the info went in one ear and out the other....and partly because my mind started to wonder as I thought "errgh, that's gross...what dog would eat a snail"...now I know -Zeta

I was going to suggest Advocate to you as Drontal does not cover lungworm which snails carry. Lungworm unfortunately is becoming an ever increasing problem in the UK

The only thing Advocate does not cover is tapeworm, so I would still advise worming with Drontal every 6 months or so - but have a chat with you vet and see what they say
