I just want a job

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I know I should be grateful, blah blah..I have a job. But..I am on NMW, after childcare, I earn pennies.

I just want to find a FT job, within 10 miles of my home. Pref customer service related (travel industry would be ace!) anything bar bog cleaning would do

B*gger all out there

The job situation is dire at the moment I think. Makes me so mad that women go back to work after having children and end up earning nothing. Surely we should be encouraging people to work!! Grrrrrr!!

Bloody irritating is what it is J and C.

What this country needs, is affordable and accessable childcare. 9 - 3 is no user friendly, neither are £40 per day rates.

The last time I had contact with a travel agent, she told me that she works from home - dealing with internet queries either on line or on the phone. Is there a way to search for 'on-line' customer service jobs?

I thought it might be quite good - the person I was speaking to was doing an evening shift, so presumably you could split your working day up according to your availability (perhaps when the children are in bed?). The big drawback is that I'm pretty sure she said she was on commission only. But it might be worth investigating as a possible top-up to your existing job?

I am in a similar position... I work part time, but really need a full time job, it is very hard though. And the more you are turned down for jobs, the worse it makes you feel... I have been turned down for jobs that most muppets can do! Doesn't make me feel good

Sucks doesn't it.

The majority of jobs I see advertised are either part time, zero hour contracts (what moron thought those up?) or internal only. Full time jobs are so thin on the ground
