Dog Warden vacancy

I remember several people posting about their search for a career with Animals, and I noticed that there is a full-time Dog Warden vacancy on the Isle of Wight

The employers are a company from Bolton, but the job is on the Isle of Wight; over 25, full driving licence, includes weekend work.

I would love to do something with animals! Not sure what a dog warden actually does apart from pick up strays!

Our wardens spend a lot of time talking to dog owners about how to be responsible and the basic care of their dogs; we have fewer strays than many other areas, but I think there are more 'irresponsible' owners who allow their dogs to foul anywhere, or exercise them on dog-free beaches or parks.
