What's on your Christmas menu?

Just another excuse to talk about food - but how much more so when it is Christmas food

For us we have the menu planned out for Christmas day, not to mention the little christmas eve and the big Christmas eve meal

Christmas day menu:

THE STARTER
Moist rye bread lightly buttered with danish curried herring and fine slices of red onions to top it

THE COLD PLATTER
A selection of ham, sausages, salami

THE HOT PLATTER
OH's home famous danish meatballs
Roast pork with crackling prepared the traditional danish way
Creamy sliced oven baked potatoes
Sticky caramelised potatoes
Red cabbage in a sweet sauce
A savoury sauce

Edited to say then cheese is usually consumed but no way this year!!!

DESSERT
Danish rice pudding with almonds covered in cherry sauce

DRINKS
Snapps
Carlsberg ( the only danish beer we can get over here, if we could it would be Tuborg)

And just when you thought thank goodness it's over, we have invited our neighbours over on new years eve for another Christmas Danish lunch...

How about yourselves, have you got your menus prepared? Would love to hear what's on the menu

(SB are you doing a BBQ in Australia?)
