So when people put the seat down on a loo, are they talking about the actual seat (as in the ring bit), or the lid?? I can't abide that bit you sit on being left up but as for that lid, then I'm not too bothered

kobi, are you saying carpeting a bathroom is now in vogue here Surely not I wouldn't like to go back to that now that I have sparkly new tiles on my floor.

Me and vogue have never been in each others vicinity.
Feng Shui also insists on lid down when you flush, so good luck doesn't get flushed away

I've never heard of those - must admit I'd like one, because the thing I hate more than anything is accidentally knocking the lid down and the noise it makes

So out of the 5 blokes who have replied in here, 3 actually put the lid/seat down.

Thing is I just hate touching the toilet seat, whenever I do I use some tissue paper - I am germ phobic

You can get them at any DIY shed they are a bit more expensive than the "bog standard" ones

However, fitting it might be a trial if you are germ phobic.
