Joiner photographs

Hi everyone
I am doing a possible photograpy project on Joiner photographs. The only problem is that no-one else seems to know these as joiner photos, so i was just wondering if anyone knew any other names for them.

Heres an example by David Hockney- its one of my favourites!


Sorry if its a bit big, also if anyone knows of any good books on joining photos that would be great too
