Micro cheat here mostly as well but I do finish in the oven as I love them basically charcoal on the outside so hot oven here.

Fav filling butter (of course) cottage cheese mixed with a good horseradish sauce.

DO NOT microwave them!! Honestly you lot, bunch of philistines!! ;o)

Wash them, cover them with salt, stick a skewer through them and cook them in the oven for an hour (180 fan).

Guaranteed crispy skins with smooth inside.

My fav topping is Cheese and Coleslaw, put the cheese on first, so it melts!! Yum!!

SALT!!!!!!! That's a definite NO NO in this house. OH had a heart attack last year. Strictly no salt house here (well apart from a sprinkle in the veg when boiling them - you have to don't you)!

Microwaves are cheating but the insides go soooooo soft and scrummy (yummmmmm)

Not even the Low Salt? It's very good!!

I must agree otherwise. The only time we ever have salt is on the skins of our jackets (it makes them sooooo crispy) and on chips. Other than that, never ever, especially not in cooking.

Haven't tried the low salt. Assumed it would be yuk! Perhaps I'll give it a go

No No No salt here

I use a combi oven which combines microwave & convention oven & I get crispy outside & fluffy inside in 15 mins. I don't even have any salt in the house !

I use salt but the lo salt like you said Pidge, although i am partial to Maldon sea salt. Microwaving is a bit of a cheat but they take soooooo long to cook otherwise.
