Dean has phoned, and it's not as grim as I (and he) originally thought.

Roxy's has inflamation of the pancreas. The liver is "p*ssed off" (Dean's words) but the liver is not the primary problem - it's just suffering from a knock on effect, and is not very serious.

She can be fixed - it will take a few weeks, but she's going to be ok. I was pleasantly surprised - I told Dean that I thought it was cancer, and he said that he thought that too. There's no evidence of it - her calcium levels are good. Her Hypo-T needs the meds upping slightly from 0.2mg to 0.3mg which is not a problem.

All of this explains the lack of weight loss recently.

I have to stop the Metacam tomorrow, and go and get some steroidal drugs for her instead.

Once again, the Duchess has avoided that final journey.

Thats great news Vicki, shes not going anywhere, its the news we have been waiting for.
Who cares how long it will take as long as she gets better...... I can now go to bed with a smile on my face knowing she will be ok, i hate it when the oldies are ill.
