Do you think Kibo is too thin? (HV)

Hi all. A week or so ago through another site I "met" the owner of one of Kibo's litter mates and we decided to meet up with the dogs over the weekend. They had a great time together and completely wore each other out.

Caspar( red collar ) is a little taller than Kibo ( green collar ) and seems to still be carrying some puppy fat but I can't stop worrying after meeting him that maybe Kibo is a bit on the thin side, although I didn't think that, until I met Caspar.

I know that all the dogs from the litter will be different and that I probably shouldn't stress too much, but nonetheless it is preying on my mind a little.

He's on two main meals a day of Skinners puppy kibble with two spoons of butchers tripe mix mixed in with it. He has a handful of kibble in his wobble ball at lunchtimes and when we're out walking I use liver cake as training treats every day.

These are the two best pictures of them together, not an easy task as they barely stopped for a second!

I think he looks fine - don't forget he is a baby and they go through growth spurts, lanky leg stages, skinny ribs - they don't look the same everyday.

Just googled images of his breed and from the pics there are alot of difference in size some look very sleek like kibo and some look wider like a labrador? If you are worried up his food a little, maybe he has just had a growth spurt and needs a little more or maybe it's just his body shape

He looks fine to me as well. There is a common worry about skinny pups but he looks fit and healthy to me.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's pretty typical for them to go through a scrawny stage, but it wouldn't hurt to up his food a bit.
My mutt was the same as a pup, in fact he's still quite lean at almost two.

Id say he's fine but maybe add to his food rations a little bit. He's only a young dog so will go through phases. Mine all looked like Id starved them at one point, but it was just a phase!

Thanks all. I'm feeling very reassured by all your comments. He is going through a very lanky/gangly stage at the moment and my OH has reminded me that only a few weeks ago I was worried that he was a bit podgy!

New mum anxieties!!
